The Fresh princes
Freshfields is becoming a byword for running a tight ship, as revealed in The Lawyer UK 200 yesterday.
Now it’s showing that it’s keeping its partners busy, with management crowning London and Brussels partner John Davies and his Düsseldorf colleague Martin Klusmann as joint heads of competition (see story).
While most competition heads are overshadowed by corporate, at Freshfields the group carries legendary clout (see profile).
And while Davies and Klusmann were anointed by management rather than having to stand for election, their appointments can be seen as the warm-up act for the upcoming senior partner election.
Prepare to see chief exec Ted Burke and FIG co-head Will Lawes vie to steal that particular show.
